Dear Friend,

A few weeks ago, as a lector at St. Matthew Parish, Green Bay, I read from St. Paul's Letter to the Romans:

"If we live, we live for the Lord and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then whether we live or die, we are the Lord's." (Rom 14:8)

This passage brought you to mind.  You are living these words of St. Paul.  With every prayer and gift, you "live for the Lord" and help us live our communal lives and do our work for the Lord.   Throughout our 130 years as a Community, you and all our donors have shared our mission "to compassionately respond to the needs of our times through ministries that uphold human dignity, pursue peace, and promote Gospel justice."  As I have said before, we couldn't do what we do without you!  

Some of our donors have also chosen to bless us at the time of their death by naming us in their will, estate plan or as a recipient of their funeral memorial funds.  Even in death they have blessed us with their love for us and for the Lord.  This year such gifts have been a significant help to us with our Motherhouse debt and our daily living costs.  People tell me, "You don't ask enough of us.  We love you and want to help you."  I will tell you that we do need your help especially as our expenses grow and our income lessens, and I can tell you we are very grateful for the help you can give us in life and in death.

Planning for Your and Our Future

We are Easter people! Our lives do not stop with death. Your support of us and our ministries doesn't have to stop with death either. You can remember us in your will or name us as a beneficiary of your funeral memorial gifts. Make your choice known to your loved ones and include it in your estate planning. A decision made now allows you to continue supporting those you have supported during your lifetime.
